University of Oregon Allan Price Science Commons

< Back to Portfolio

This 4-phased project includes extensive renovation of the existing subterranean science commons as well as a 3,800 SF expansion out of the existing courtyard, which houses a new café and serves as the new entry to the library.

The renovation doubled the total seating capacity, and also added individual and group study areas; tutoring and advising space; technology infused and flexible instructional rooms, and a digital laboratory.  Staff and students maintained use of the space throughout construction. The remodel took place in an occupied building and campus.
