Built within a fully occupied hospital basement, this complex food services renovation was completed in two phases. The first phase included a major infrastructure upgrade with a new rooftop air handler and the demolition of three elevators. Phase 1 also included a 6,550 SF renovation to the catering, office support and staff lounge area. Phase 2 is an 11,300 SF renovation to the 80-year-old kitchen. The project required Andersen to maintain kitchen functions during construction to keep hospital operation. Major renovation to mechanical and electrical facilities were involved in the project.
