Andersen Construction has been working closely with the McMenamins and their Design Team over the last few years to get this major historic renovation project off the ground. The McMenamins purchased the Historic Elks Lodge Building in 2012 with the goal to add another great destination location to their ever growing collection of facilities. The Elks Lodge Building, that falls along Tacoma’s historic Broadway, was originally constructed in 1915 and is currently on the National Register of Historic Places.

Andersen will be performing a complete overhaul of the facility; exterior to the interior, top to bottom, this building will be 100% restored and brought back to life while still maintaining its early 20th century architectural design and character. Once complete the project will feature restaurant & bar spaces, multiple levels of hotel rooms, event spaces, game rooms, a fully operational brewery & commercial kitchen, and a theater which is sure to attract a wide array of musicians & shows. A firm start date has not been established but the Andersen Team is prepping for a potential mid-summer mobilization down to Tacoma. Once construction starts the project will take 14-16 months to complete with an anticipated completion coming in Fall of 2018.
