The Cole M. Rivers Hatchery is the largest fish hatchery on the West Coast. The hatchery, located on the Rogue River, consists of 87 raceways, 26 circular ponds, six adult holding ponds and two rainbow brood ponds. The hatchery is capable of annual production of 400,000 winter steelhead, 100,000 summer steelhead, 200,000 coho and 56,000 pounds of trout. It was completed well ahead of schedule.
