This Design/Build project was uniquely designed as a complete operations center for Horizon Air. This unique, single building consisted of multiple building occupancy classifications with structural steel frame and truss girders with a 245-foot clear span and 40 foot clear height. The building exterior was constructed of masonry and metal panels. The hanger doors were automatically controlled and provided and unobstructed airplane entrances of 245 feet wide by 37 feet tall. To serve as a complete operation center, the building contained corporate offices, complete maintenance shop, parts storage and testing facility, pump house with deluge tanks for fire suppression foam and a hazardous chemical storage area. The site work included six (6) exterior maintenance stations, site utilities and concrete tarmac.
